Listen, Jerry, I don’t want to overstep my bounds or anything. It’s your house. It’s your world. You’re a real Julius Caesar, but I’ll tell you some, tell you how-how I feel about school, Jerry. It’s a waste of time, a bunch of people running around, bumping into each other. G-guy up front says, “two plus two.” The people in the back say, “four.” Then the bell rings, and they give you a carton of milk and a piece of paper that says you can take a dump or something. I mean, it’s—it’s not a place for smart people, Jerry, and I know that’s not a popular opinion, but it’s my two cents on the issue.
Jerry is a good general term. Joey is reserved for racers/ex-racers who ski well when their skis are on the snow but then lose all competence when their skis enter the air and no longer have the warm embrace of the snow to support their unrealistic expectations for what they want to happen.
I heard the term Joey first. That being said, I think Jerry is a better term for people doing bad and shitty things, and Joeys are just crazy people skiing
To my understanding:
Gaper is all purpose use for beginner skier,
Joey is a young gaper,
Jerry is a gaper with maximum send confidence or has decided mountain equipment (goggles, actual ski pants) are for squares.
A fucking mongoloid is a person hitting rails on a pow day
Joeys = NJ and NY regardless of skiing. Been on the beach or hiking plenty of times and heard their mating call "Eh, Yo, Joey check this shit out. Looks like a fuck'n rock or sumthin. Take my pictha wit it."
All Joeys are Jerrys, but not all Jerrys are Joeys.
