Who is the first skier to grab their Skis?

It was me, I did the first ever safety grab 20 minutes ago.

The first one that sent too hard.

A Norwegian native Bjorn took to skiing at a young age. He was a member of famed Nordic Flyers. The Flyers were a group of young men that came back from the first world war and had the taste of adrenaline and noting but free time. Bjorn moved from his native town of Flekennfords to Lillihammer to live the ski bum life after the war and soon was in deep. It was on a random Wednesday that while perfecting his stem christie, he saw a beautiful young lass. Ulga was from another small town and was still grieving over loss of her fiancee due to an unchecked case of the shits. Soon Bjorn knew Ulga was the girl for him. The next day, Bjorn and his buddy Aapo, were hitting the slopes when Bjorn saw Ulga with some friends. Knowing he was the best skier on the mountain Bjorn buckled his full tilts to the max and sent it. With great ease he launched off of the ungroomed piste. Ulga was impressed. Not to be overshadowed Aapo went next. He strait lined for the lip and was soon in flight. What could he do to show up his cocky friend...... He reached down and touched his ski...... Instantly Ulga got wet and lost all recollection of her passed lover, and knew she was going to give it up to Aapo later that night after slamming some jager. And boy did she ever... While Aapo and Ulga went off and got married, had kids and "grew the fuck up." Bjorn never did. He continued to live the dream and hit on only to succeed with a plethora of woman, wanting a piece of the dream. Bjorn told the story hundreds of time, over and over again about the day that he, not his long lost friend Aapo, was the first skier to grab them skis. Thus in the sands of time Bjorn was remembered as the first Bro throw a safety grab. In true form, he was full of shit.

I still can't figure out why skiers grab in the first place. They're already attached to our feet it's not like they're going anywhere

nah thats why tele dudes HAVE to grab blunt everytime they leave the ground, pure physics, their skis would just slide off the front of the boot

I just know back as far as Chris Ostness was the first guy's I kind of new of that grabbed. Was there anyone before him? It helped our sport that is for sure.
