So not to go into a lengthy discussion of how/what etc. Here is the long and short. I bought a pair of 17' Ranger 122 from Fischer(192 length), still under warranty, sent it to the back and left ski release right ski never release and ripped the heal binding off of ski (Look pivot 14 2017). Fischer has said they will still warrant the skis and replace but they do not have the 2017' Ranger 122 @192cm, but would be willing to replace it with the 2018 Ranger.
Here in lies the rub, loved the 17' Rangers @ 192cm length but the options in the 2018 Ranger model they come in 188cm/196cm lengths. I am 6'1" 232lbs and my other short skis are 184cm/108 underfoot. Looking for some thoughts on which size to have them replace them with? I really don't want the 188 since it's pretty close to what I already have in my "short" skis, but little worried about the 196cm if i am using them in anything but the backside/powder/free ski.
