New England Camping

Sup NS,

Now that my skiing season is over, I'm starting to get the backpacking/hiking/camping bug again.

I'm working my way through the New Hampshire 48 (26/48 at the moment) and have done a few overnights in the Whites so far. I live in Boston and recently started seeing a girl who isn't very outdoorsy to say the least. She wants to get more into skiing/hiking so I'm looking for recommendations for any cool/lesser-known camping spots around New England that aren't too much of a hike/expedition. Even a campground would be a good first step. I've got all the gear already just looking for some new/cool spots to check out!

My family has been going to https://www.recreation.gov/camping/winhall-brook/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&parkId=73483 for quite a few years now. Quiet little campground depending on the site, nothing special, nice to fall asleep to the river. Great area for mellow mtn biking. Some cool hikes nearby. Also I believe there are some shelters along the midstate trail in MA, i have stayed at the one at muddy pond in ashburnham (or westminster?) that might be cool to show the lady friend, i dunno.

Looks dope thanks man. Its funny Im not used to camping in actual campgrounds so I didnt know where to look

REI has an app called the Hiking Project. Not everything is on there yet, but adding more everyday and useful imo for easily finding hikes in places that you're not familiar with.

Danforth bay is probably a good first step. Its has a pool and beach and its not super outdoorsy but it would probrably be a good first step. Its very clean and stuff. Sounds like a good way to get ur girlfriend into it
