Most bizarre way youve ever damaged your equipment?

So working at a shop and rental season coming to a close, people return their skis etc damaged in crazy ways droppes it off a car blah blah.
Yesterday had a pair where the topsheet was bubbled out and the base was as well... they accidentally set the skis on fire.
So whats the strangest thing youve ever done to hurt your gear?

My roommates and I were packing up and moving out of our college house after graduation. I didn't have enough suitcases/boxes so I put all my winter outerwear/long underwear etc. in a black trash bag IN MY ROOM. I go to put it in my car the next day and its nowhere to be found. One roommate who fessed up years later accidentally sent it to the dump....
