parvizfaizI haven't ridden many big mountain specific skis so I may be out of my element here, but I feel comfortable skiing them on any terrain in my ability.
I didn't quite get why anyone would want a super stiff charging ski since I could handle 'big mountain' stuff just fine on slightly softer skis, then I got on big mountain charging skis and it makes a WORLD of difference. Stability, speed limit and the general feeling of being in control sky rocket once you're on a stiff pair of charging skis.
If you have the chance, get on something stiff and somewhat directional, just to try it out. It's not my preferred style of riding, but steep lines and fast speeds are both a freaking blast and incredibly easy on skis that were built to be incredibly stable.
