Ski advice

Have had 3 pairs of blends in a row over 4 years. Love them but want to try something else this season.

What’s close, still twin tip but better in your opinion?

In the Southern Hemisphere where snow can be pretty variable, live off piste when it’s a go but don’t mind hot lapping the park other days.

Prefer more toward park than toward pow.

for something that's still good for park but with a bit more stability and all mountain performance you should check out CT 2.0 and ARV 106. I own a pair of blends and have skied both of those a few times, they've got a similar playful feel to the Blends, not quite as playful but do feel more capable in a bunch of different terrain. especially if you're hooning it.

The liberty helix 98 for next year looks pretty similar except probably stiffer and more durable.

Looking at reviews these seem to be all about having fun off piste which is great but how would they hold up in the jumps/rails/boxes?

You've got it all wrong. This guy just loves him some poachers, and thinks for the type of ski you're looking for it would be a good fit.

The best you can do is read threads to get an idea of what you might be interested in and than come up with a this vs that vs this thread but it doesn't really matter.

You could also give more info on yourself, what you like or don't like about the blends, etc.

I guess other skis I have looked at are chronics ct 2.0s revolts and the sight.

Is it worth checking out on3p liberty 4frnt and the likes? If so what have you tried and why do you like it.

I feel like my park skiing lacks aggression from the blend.

But I’ve never really rode park in anything but blends so more after feedback or stories of the difference someone got?

They'll definitely both perform well in the park. The CT 2 is already very well established as a park ski, I'd say probably most people ski it in the park but it rides really well all mountain too. As for the ARV 106 it's always been positioned as a wider park ski/ all mountain freestyle crossover, the only reason not to take it in the park would have been the thinner edges its had in the past but for next season its getting the thick edges that armada uses for all its park-specific skis so it's going to hold up to rails and jibs just as well as them.

I actually just watched the stomp it review on the blend vs ct 2.0 vs all play.

I finally understand why my blend feels so awkward in the jumps. The noodle like tails have no rigidity what so ever. After watching I’m thinking of backing up my last year blends with a pair of park skis.

Has anyone ridin the ct 1.0? How is it in comparison to the 2.0?

Honestly I feel like an arv 96 is what you’re after it’s gonna be similar in the tip and tails for stiffness but More solid underfoot. A poacher or Kartel will feel like a 2 by 4 for you if you’re used to blends (look at the poacher review on ns and what they say compared to soft skis). Also the 96 has a lot of tip and tail taper (compared to a blend) which make it really nice for variable snow off piste.

The ns review for poachers literally says if you like soft light skis they’re not for you and that’s what I’d classify a blend and op said he wants something close to a blend. I get that you have a hard on for poachers but that doesn’t mean it’s the best ski for everyone.

Blends are a little more severe then just "soft". Bruh poachers for life dude, u see so many pros skiing them, ud know what I'm talking about if you skied them just saying
