The Best Crossover Ski Boot

forgive me if their is already a thread on this, but i searched and couldn't find one. So, what's the best crossover boot for touring/resort skiing. Primarily i'll be at the resort. but I am going to mount some skis up with the CAST system and i'm looking for a boot I can tour with, but can still charge like a true freeride boot.
Suggestions?

Make sure your foot fits the boot before you buy.

That being said, I am in the Roxa R3 130 and love it. It works great in bounds and out of bounds. I ride the lift 90% of my skiing days. The boot was actually designed by Glen Plake, not that it matters, but kinda cool. One thing to note on the R3 is that its a bit softer than other "130" flex boots. I'm only 135 pounds or so, so I don't over power it, but if you are bigger and ski hard you might find this boot to be a bit soft for your likings. Another good reason to see a boot fitter before you buy so you can see if it fits and test the flex.

Yeah there are literally so many boots these days which will work. Just go to a fitter explain you want a freeride boot with tech inserts and see what they recommend. Also go shift not cast ;)

I believe those lack tech inserts. Some could be added, however. The new Lupo AX replaced the panterra.

Ah my bad,didn’t see the tech inserts bit.The panterra is being replaced?

no panterra is still there, but is more aimed at pure resort with a walk mode. I have the lupo ax 120 and I love them, also still forgiving enough for a few park laps

My mistake. however, OP is looking for a boot that will work with the CAST system and that requires tech inserts.

Tecnica Cochise 130! Best performance I've ever had out of a boot and would recommend it to anyone if it's the right fit. I do about 60:40 between in bounds and out an this boot can really do it all. All that being said, go see a boot fitter before getting your mind set on a boot you think you'll like

Unrelated to the thread, but why shift not cast? I love the feel of my P18's and it would be great if I could tour with them too.

The p18 is great yeah I ride them but they are heavy. Even if you switch the toe you still have the weight of the heel and the weight of the toes in your pack. The shift binding honestly rides nearly as well. I had no prerealeses at all testing them out. They are way lighter and can work with any boot.
