Magnus’ seem to have gone up a lot in weight this year. Wonder if this is due to increased durability or rather just an update to outdated numbers based on estimates from old pairs.

If still you really want a super light ski then get j whipits or vishnus.

C&Ds have been in their line for quite a few seasons. That being said, I think this year they changed up the C&D and it’s on the billygoat platform now so it’s a bit different in dimensions and profile. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong tho, thought I heard that from one of the Blister podcasts.
So just a heads up - this was sort of a soft launch to get the pages up. We're still working on a lot so not everything on the product pages or website wide is 100%. We figured we could just get it back live quietly on a Friday and work on it thru the weekend, but you guys don't miss much.

The Cease & Desist is actually one of our original models. I actually even made prototypes for it in Tacoma. Used to have a different name - but something came up and then it became the Cease & Desist (in 2009).

2019 Magnus is actually lighter. As I said above, this wasn't really meant to be the 2019 launch (that will be next week) - just a soft launch so not everything is updated and numbers are not 100%. Lots of numbers being updated, but I believe the current Magnus 90 weights listed are just the 2018 Magnus weights. The 2019 Magnus 90 is updated and lighter next year. We're waiting on a couple more batches of skis to be finished next week (so the numbers are more accurate) but it has lighter fiberglass (in 176cm and up) than last year and the whole lineup got a thinner, updated core profile that is slighter rounder and slightly softer. We also added some tip taper to bring swing weight down a bit as well.
I don't want to post actual numbers until we get another 30-40 pairs finished but definitely lighter than this years.

Some skis are already in stock and ready to buy too - so that stock should be updated very soon - with additional skis being put into inventory everyday - all the Magnus and Kartels will be available this month, plus BGs, with the Wrens and Jessie middle of May it looks like.

We're waiting on a couple more batches of skis to be finished next week (so the numbers are more accurate) but it has lighter fiberglass (in 176cm and up) than last year and the whole lineup got a thinner, updated core profile that is slighter rounder and slightly softer. We also added some tip taper to bring swing weight down a bit as well.
I don't want to post actual numbers until we get another 30-40 pairs finished but definitely lighter than this years.

Any idea on when customs will be available to order? Also I know lsm skis softer kartels but is he on the 108 or 116?

Yep - they will be available all summer & fall too. Next week is basically just an early option to get 2019 customs if you are willing to wait (production will not start until mid-late May) at a slight discount.

straight facts, both j skis and vishnus are mad light, but I tried out my buddy's 176 magnus and it barely felt like I had skis on, since they've got really low swing weight. So i think the magnus would actually be perfect for people who want light skis.
you are the most legit person when it comes to responding on ns about your products. the customer service at on3p is the best I've ever received, which is one of the reasons for the past 6 years I have only ever had on3ps under my feet.

Yo on3p the new Jessie graphics are whack. They look like any other lame female specific ski and feel like a cop out. You can do better. Was thinking of buying a pair this year and now I'm gonna snag some kartels instead, and I know of a couple other girls who agree.

Last couple years, we’ve received quite a bit of negative feedback on the current Jessie graphics. Normally, our graphic process is all in-house, with Twoods getting the graphic 90% of the way there before we start the tweaking process.
This year we brought a larger group of industry members in (of both sex) with the hope of finding a better consensus of what a women’s line for a brand like ours should look like. In the end, we found very little consensus but the most agreement in what we went with here. The art was a different take for us - my little sister did the elements - and we went a color pallet that everyone liked - rare in our discussions.
We did design an alternate for girls looking for something different (see below). And as you said, our Kartel line is available in similar sizes if you still hate these.
If you have any specific feedback on how we can make them better, we would of course appreciate it.

I appreciate the response. I just feel like the whole snowflake/mandala thing is a bit cheesy and generic. I've always loved most of twoods' graphics, I didn't know people didn't like the past years topsheets on the Jessie's, I thought they looked sharp! I love the idea of the Jessie and am pumped to see a ladies ski on the market that isn't just shrink n pink like so many others, but slapping a girly little snowflake/flower thing on it makes the ski seem less badass than it really is. I guess if you're trying to reach out towards a wider demographic of female skiers than just the hard charging type then I can see where you're coming from, but I think most ladies who ski hard and want a gender specific ski that will hold up to the hype might stray away from this sort of graphic.
Looking at the rest of the line I see lots of bold colors, cool landscapes and animals etc. Then you get to the Jessie's and they're pastel and swirly. They stand out from the rest of the line and not in a good way. Were the Jessie's not selling as well the past couple years, hence getting ideas thrown around by industry people to try and boost sales? I get that selling a women's specific ski might be tough, smaller demographic and such, but from all the ladies I know who were stoked on the Jessie, it was because it wasn't like every other women's ski on the market. Now they look a lot like what other companies do, make the color scheme and graphic appear more feminine so people know they're for women. Sorry if this seems harsh, it's just kind of disappointing.

Hey, sorry about that. I wrote it hastily as I was trying to get to work for the day, and about a minute later decided I wanted to think about it for a little bit to see if there is anything I wanted to add before posting.
I hope the graphics that we did help to sell skis too, because that means that we can keep supporting Women's skiing with skis that are ACTUALLY worth skiing on. I know I'm biased, but (besides this year) I go to industry demos every year, and if ON3P wouldn't exist there's only two other companies I would ever bother to spend a dollar on (props to Moment and Blizzard). I think that it's probably important to re-iterate that I've never seen a compliment on the old Jessies, three years in a row, besides one dude who was Katy's friend who came into our booth the first year we had them at SIA. It's so easy to reach out to companies these days and provide feedback that I think it's important to ensure that we are voicing our support just as much as our concerns.

I had a friend of mine who is a designer at Skullcandy do a ton of research to design the first iteration of the Jessie. She worked hard to develop a theme that got good responses from girls she knew, and she worked up the original Jessie. The next two years it was me working based on her research. I have personally never heard or recieved compliments on the graphics, and everyone from dealers to girl skiers alike thought they were too edgy and were telling us how nobody liked them.
So, we polled girls who actually ski who we know as we went through this design process. They are girls who ski, in one sense or another, for a living or work in the ski industry, girls who are ski testers for magazines who ski on and have opinions about ever women’s ski on the market. As Scott said, for better or worse, the graphics are generally me creating something and telling them to use it. I’ve literally never had this much feedback on a ski, and I went through more revisions of this graphic than I’ve gone through for any other ski in the last 4-5 years - more revisions on this ski than all the other skis for this year combined. I’m not talking color tweaks and layout changes, I’m talking total theme overhaul, complete change of colors.
Without going over the whole process, we tried a number of elements that were all rejected. We tried a number of colorways - blues and yellows, similar colors to years past on the Jessie to keep it similar to the line, and the women we spoke with hated it. I’ve NEVER received stronger negative feedback on any ski graphic I’ve ever done than the things they said about some of what I proposed - all of which was intended to keep the skis out of the “shrink it and pink it” category.
In the end, as a sort of “hail mary” play, we showed them the mandala patterns and the purple which you see on the Jessie. We received overwhelmingly positive responses.
Daph, I’m not surprised you don’t like it and I’m sure other women won’t either. But I didn’t design this; a panel of women skiers who ski a lot and love skiing did. If I’ve learned anything, it’s this: the girls who hate the industry's tendency to “shrink it and pink it” are simply the girls who speak the loudest, and they seem to be a greater minority than you or I think.

This is an incredibly astute statement. Fortunately those of us who are loud and hate most women's skis can charge just fine on men's skis. (Which they are!!)

Yoooooo somehow I missed this myself... The regular BG is the best ski I've ever skied on in my entire life. 124 underfoot BG.... might be even better...

I’m debating k108 or goats, love the Kartel but the goat just seems to be calling my name as a bit more of a charger.
Scott, can you shed any light on the weight of a custom 186 Kartel 108 with the tour layup? My K116s are so damn fun, got me thinking about adding another pair to the family...

K108 has to be the greatest all-around one ski quiver ever made. I'm seriously going to lose my shit if there is ever a major tweak to it. I think it can definitely be a charger ski depending on the strength and youth of the skier.

They are legitimately incredible. I've been going to industry demos since I was 14 (that's 16 years now) and I've never skied on a ski that I like more than the Billygoat. Never. Hands down. I'm not exaggerating, I can't say it enough.
I love the K108 and the 116 but the BG is way more of a charging ski. The Kartel is more of a fun all mountain playful / freestyle ski that you CAN charge on because you can push it, where the Wren and the BG are made for it.
The Wren is a blast too, but in soft snow the BG can't be beat. It's not as good a ski for charging in hard snow. It's still a lot of fun and super solid but it is, of course, a specific shape (with the Reverse Elliptical and asymetric profile) that is meant for softer stuff and crud.
