Idea: Weekly Old-School(ish) Ski Movie Watching

Just watched MSPs "The Front Line" and it got me thinking...with all the free, old ski movies available online, if I made a weekly thread with a free movie and some of my comments on it, are other people still into watching old(er) movies and discussing them?

I got into skiing around 2009, so I haven't been exposed to a lot of footage of the classic Pep Fujas, THall, Candide, Seth Morrison, CRJ, McConkey. I've found it super fun to get inspired by their skiing and the culture back in the early 2000s seems so sick. Also it's fun to compare musics, features, filler with what you'd see today.

Anyone down?

It would be rad if it could be done on here with a chat like the event watching. Me and Kevtron were talking about doing it in tinychat at one point. Sucks that you can't full screen cams without "premium" or whatever now.

The xgames/olympics were fun though.

You're right, something like we did for olympics would be sick...there's gotta be another website similar to tinychat that allows full screen.

Could stream it on twitch possibly, as a private stream?

I would 100% be down on taking weekly blasts to the past though!

Does Inspired Media still play the old classics? I know NS did this a while back before the new site design. For interviews, check the Powell Movement on his podcast. They are quite good; my favorite interview are the Glen Plake interviews.

So it looks like I can't do twitch off of my mac. Would people be down to do tinychat? I know you can't do full screen, but I think that might be okay because I thought this would be cool with everyone live commenting, which tinychat is optimal for.

What do you guys think? Will no fullscreen be a huge turnoff?
