TOAST.100% your fault they broke. It sucks that it happened but does not sound like a manufacturers defect.
CaseyI hate it when people say this shit. 100% percent chance you have no idea what the fuck happened, and 100% chance a 135 lb middle schooler shouldn't be able to snap a core under any circumstances.
Crap ass Chinese bullshit construction gets blindly supported by people on this website for no reason and if you question the dumpster fire you get flamed. Fuck that.

eheathTBH it goes both ways. I've ridden plenty of skis made in China that lasted just as long as other skis and vise versa. The only thing that bothers me about your post is your encouraging people to lash out against their favorite ski company because they produce their skis in the china, which I think you understand why they do. Telling anyone what you just did says "yeah kids, if you skis are made in china, bitch and moan as much as you can if your skis break, you should get new ones" i think this is a poor attitude to support.
I think its important that younger skiers understand that when you buy skis there is a chance they will break, no matter what company or what ski. If you slam a ski against the ground, or on a rail, or in a ditch, whatever happens, you broke your ski and its your fault. I used to be like these kids, if my ski broke I instantly thought i was entitled to a new free pair because skis shouldn't break, but that is the wrong idea.
Sure there are plenty of scenarios where a ski breaks and its a defect from when it was produced, those situations are very easy for ski manufactures to identify and if that is the case, then yes they should give you new skis. If you contact a company and they say your damage isn't covered, then tough shit. I'm so sick of kids posting on NS about how their skis broke and trying to shit on ski companies because they're pissed about breaking their own skis.
OP you hit your skis on the snow in a manner that they were not made to do, they're made to ski down a mountain and as soon as you hit a jump or rail your chances of your skis breaking goes up 1000%. I'm not sure why you mentioned your DIN, but if you did a front flip and came around to your back and your ski tails slammed into the ground, your bindings are not made to pop out in that situation, bindings are made to release while you are skiing, not when you slam your tails into the ground.
Hit up evo, if they give you new skis thats great, if not suck it up and buy new skis. Most ski companies will offer you a replacement ski at cost, which TBH is a great offer for a random kid who bought one pair of skis, take that offer if its given to you and move on.
