How big is the "dub club"

Scrolling through Slapp it hit me how many people can double these days.
How big do you think the freeskiing (no aerials) dub club is? 500? 1000? 5000?

This is interesting point, dubs are no longer a big deal and even triples are starting to become more casual, I've seen several edits recently of people I'd never heard of doing trips, it's a crazy world we're living in

Newschoolers is funny like talking about how many people can dub and hows its common now but if someone starts a thread talking about backflips its a /claim, like which is it, are all of yall throwing dubs or can no one rotate over 5?

Dub 10 is the "new" cork 7. There's a staggering amount of kids under 15/16 that can dub 10 which is crazy. 5-6 years ago you were pro if you could dub 10 consistently.

Probably at least 1000.


Its a casual trick to have at least 1 dub.

Only hard to gauge because huge group from smaller group.

I have no idea how many people ski park. But the bigger parks youll see some casual dub on the reg especially in the spring.

Haha you got me. I think it depends on where you're at, watching edits you would think everybody can throw dubs, but where I live in central idaho our mountains don't have very good parks and most people can barely do a 3 if any tricks at all. I've only seen one other person do dubs and the one time I tried a dub front I fractured my skull (claim)

HiDefso true. kids these days...


I guess jump building and training has made these tricks alot more accessible too. Alot of the top resorts have jumps that are pretty safe for trying dubs and excellent freestyle training programs. Both for skiing and snowboarding.
