Skis similar to ARV 106

I'm light (135 lbs) but kinda tall 5'11. I need something that isn't overly stiff. A ski that is great for someone who is 200 lbs skis like a 2x4 for me. I really like ON3P as a company and from what i've heard here they make great skis but the kartel 108 is just going to be to stiff for me.

I demoed the ARV 106 and loved it. I also demoed the candide 3.0 and had a lot of fun on that. I'm nervous about the durability on both of those skis though. The deathwish looks promising but might be to wide and a little to stiff for me. Is there more options that i'm missing out on that I haven't considered yet?

i would take some kartel108s out for a spin and try them - they are no 4x4 by any stretch of the imagination, even at your weight/height. If you can wait for their custom ski sale this summer perhaps getting them in a softer layup as a custom option might be the way to go - or just get em now, either stock or as a custom build. My 181s are no noodles, but they are not beasts - at all. If anything, i would want them stiffer, but then my jibbing skills are pretty abysmal :) K108s are easy to ski skis for centered riding needs - perfect for your playful daily driver needs in snow rich environments.

Deathwish is supposed to be on the softer side of stiff. Like upper middle class kinda. You'd probably be fine on them

Wish I could demo them but there demo day in Colorado was on a Wednesday lol. How much do custom skis cost during there custom ski sale?

Maybe look into the K2 Marksman.

I wouldn't describe the kartel 108 as a stiff ski btw. It has some stiffness underfoot, but the tips and tails are softer so it feels playful.

seriously though, if you think the kartel 108 is a 2x4 at 135lbs then you're not skiing as fast as you should be

sorry - cannot remember - call ON3P directly and ask them, both if they will be doing such a sale this summer and what they recommend you get from their line up (they are super helpful and their advice is usually bang on).

Get the kartels my dude, I'm 6'1 and have the 186, with stock layup (but a custom top sheet which is gorgeous), they're amazing. They charge super hard. I think they're a little stiffer than the ARV106 but I've never skied them so that comparison is from what I've read. Could soften the layup if you want a softer ski and I doubt it'd be too stiff for you. I sometimes wish mine were softer but I don't really have complaints. I recently picked up some ARV 96s as a park set up so I hope they treat me well on the flex side of things

Durability isn't gonna be matched for a ski like that I don't imagine. I can't say enough good things about mine. If you're 5'11 I'd say the 181 would be ideal for you.

112 instead of 106 but other than that they're pretty comparable

About 160lbs man. Skis have never left heavy once I’m clocked in and the swing weight feels like nothing for a 186 x 108 ski. They’d rip the park if I dared take em on anything but the occasional jump line
