Once the quick links part is done, I'm pretty sure you'll liek this one better.. it's way cleaner, and with quick links, will be much easier to navigate.

Keep the suggestions coming though.. I'm always up for some constructive critisism....

i actually like the site better..im sure everyone who has been here for a long time likes the old layout but i think its good that Harvey has some sponsors and the side pics are good too....good work Harvey

oh yeh, and the new posts arent yellow anymore, they are black, and the old ones are blue, and its kinda hard to tell the two apart. and making the print bigger would be awesome, think about how many people are on here at night and there vision is going bad? eh? yeh ive done it alot, but yeh thats just my input

I think it's Excellent, mad props H man. The only thing is that the similarity between old and new posts is too close, hard to tell apart. I think the background colour is fine, makes stuff stand out, looks really professional.

I like it... I like it a lot. I think the light blue color is alright.... but the black around the edges seems a bit strange, just kind of un-newschoolerly. I think maybe everything would flow a bit better if the black were changed to the good old NS blue, maybe a shade in between the header and the main body.

I dunno, looks like it's fixed now, but the 'Online' window was floating around too much, and it wasn't fucked in the upper section of the screen before. Look solid now. Upon further review, nearly perfect. Just change the colors of the thread selections and change the Thread title inisde of the thread to a bold white, because right now, you can't even see it. But it looks nice. I like the quick picture too, hopefully they will get upsated often tho, or else they will get too repatitious. But damn good H-Man. rock on!

site looks awesome, all it's gonna take is a little time to get used to, after all the old one was here for quite a while, but this looks a lot cleaner, easier to navigate, and all round kick ass.

Cool glad you guys like it... maybe I should turn the black into navy... could flow a bit better.

The photo thing at the bottom will soon randomly go through several hundred professional quality shots by Grant Gunderson (shoots for Freeskier, Powder... ), so they won't get repetative.. I'd also like to have it show skiers from the NS Freeride Team.

The layout is definitelly very different, so it'll take some time to get used to, but it's definitelly a step in the right direction I think... I also think that I already said that.. anyways... yeah! Keep the feedback coming.. thanks a ton.

the background color is a step in the right direction, I would sugest a shade lighted maybe to help with some contrast issues with the black text. Also I would really consiter trying to set the layout up to use the whole window. It would be really easy to do for this site and would make it much more appealing to me at 1280x1024. Def step in the right direction though matt. Props on the update for sure.

I think that the new layout looks really good, my only rant is that the window is too wide for my computer. I am running 800x600 and I have to scroll over to see all of the stuff on the right side.

well, iv been here since the bar on the side was like a rounded rectangle box thingie..then the first simpler one..then the last one..then this one..and i like this one the best.. nice and clean look, fast, only problem is side still doesnt refresh so if your reading a thread for a while you dont get messages...and yopu have to constantly scroll up to check em!! give it its own frame!! .. but i really like it man! good work.

ps: text in photo section 'add coments' is same as bg colour.

I like the new look quite a bit, just like everyione else, seperate old and new posts better, and make text bigger, at midnight the tiny black begins to blur, also the nlack outside is a bit daunting for a ski sight, but meh, it still kicks ass

-If people don't want 'Posers' in their sport they should quit skiing and take up knitting. I highly doubt that anyone 'Poses' as a knitter. -Jibtech

except i actually quite like the black background, it makes the text sections and the other sections (i.e. the 'online', the 'quick links' etc) stand apart, i like it
o, and u can use some of the little graphics i did if ya want, they are listed in my profile, im working on a mad one if ya want it...
new site is mad though
i dont have problem with text size too much, but the new and old posts needs to change, as has been said before

Matt, if you don't want to recode the site to fit in the window I would suggest that you center the table.

Sorry, I agree with mauii, give the Online window its own thing, so it refreashes on it's own, sorta like it used to. And maybe using the grey from log-in would unifiy the log-in the the whole site? Because right now, it's just completely unlinked and the initial screen is nothing like the rest of the site.

Ok I dunno whats wrong, but on the several computers I have viewed this sight on, they all have the same problem.

Hyperlinks are invisible. They are the same colour as this light blue background.
They change to red when I hover over them, thats the only way I can navigate around this site.

And the main body text is white. It is hell hard to read and is really, really, really bad contrast. horrible in fact.
It's not just my computer, cause as I said I have viewed the site on several different comps. They are all running IE6.

If you can just fix these two problems... then it will be sweet.

I noticed that the link for 'add comments' in the picture section was still the same color as the background...

And I like the way that the dark blue looks around the edges. Although I agree that it's time for at least one new color on the site... hence this light blue.

Just a few random suggestions... I have no idea how this would work out, but maybe switching the light blue and the dark blue colors on the page? That way we could go back to white text and the yellow thread headers, etc. Then again, it would still be a lot like the old site... but overall, I do favor the white text over the black text. Now I'm just rambling....
