Replying to Is K2 getting worse?

I had a pair of 2012 K2 press a few years ago and they lasted a while. The cap construction really held up and didnt chip easily. My bro got a pair of 2015 K2 sights, those also held up well for him. I recently got another pair of K2 press as a budget ski... completely different story. Only had a chance to use them 3 times and one of my tips is starting to come apart, the top sheet is like wax... it peels off so easily infect around most of the ski it is peeled off. I have a feeling that K2 isn't the same as it was 5 years ago. Could it possibly be that their using cheaper material? I really dont know let me know what you think.
