Funny because OL has been bumped up every time I've done it so it feels like any other steep bump trail, but white heat at SR with ice is some real scary shit. Hell even hayride at stowe on an icy day feels steeper than OL
Also, the parts of stowe that are on this page are usually only open a couple weeks out of the year, a month at best. And when they are they're pretty snowy. Its funny how a little snow can make a steep trail feel like nothing

White Heat at SR and Gondi Line at SL are like the same trail, usually flat but steep with ice... if you have good edges you can just carve your way down.

Yeah Stowe has a lot of steep when you find it, I would recommend the nose if you like flirting with death.
Dude I'm east coast all day, but west coast has many more steeper and steep sustained trails. Yes I'm not talking about the whole mountain being steeper, but if you compared the steepest runs of each west resort with one's out east, west will no doubt win most of the time.
And yes I'm referring to Vermont. Have you been to Utah before? Hike to terrain through gates is way more "fuck me sideways what have I done" steeper than east coast anything.
Grew up on the east coast and while it might be "steeper" as a whole, you completely forget the fact that west coast resorts cater to jerrys with shitloads of mellow blues and long greens. Once you get out of those zones shit gets heavy quick. There's not really anything I wouldn't ski on the east resort wise. On the west there's so much gnarly shit inbounds that blows the east out of the water. There's more than a few mountains out west with terrain that compares and exceeds anything at Tuckerman's. Your numbers don't stand up to that.
White heat isnt bad at all except for that first headwall. Once you get past that, you can bomb. (One of my buds got his speed record -73- on first tracks White Heat)
According to NS, EC skiiers are better and ski steeper lines. Why would I ever want to live out west? Will someone trade with me, I live in Colorado. /s

Sugarloaf and Stowe don’t have what you so call “trees” at the top and I don’t think elevation or being above the tree line necessarily means how steep a run is
Steepness is chill and all, but what really puts hair on your chest are the cliffs and drops yo. I'll take the uber steep line over the less steep with a high consequence double drop.
