willysworldActually Hotham is a way better mountain than Thredbo or Perisher is you really have no idea what you are talking about.
WackoJackoAren't the terrain parks better at Perisher
avardaTerrain parks are better at Perisher, however any time of the week they are just packed to the brim. The park crew is awesome but with conditions and wear and tear the park does get worn each day.
In terms of overall mountain, Thredbo has some absolutely awesome terrain. I prefer it a lot more than perisher, and it’s a lot more logical to move around the mountain.

WackoJackoAh ye fair enough, so for overall skiing Thredbo would be the better way to go
strayln_SkierPerisher is the best mountain in Australia
eojit's also the most crowded mountain in Australia
strayln_Skier*If you don't know where to go at certain times.
Generally the entire crowd at Perisher gets funnelled into different places at the same time every day.
SchlossAdlerYo homie, I have an epic pass, but I'm a melbourne boy so I'll be trying to swing some trips out to Buller too. I only started riding park a few years ago but I'm trying to learn so I'm keen as to do it as much as possible, none of my local mates really ride it.
skippaYo kiddos, after some advice.
Have hit falls last 2 years, copped hella bad conditions both times (a week after each trip falls got hella dumps, while a week earlier I'm sitting on the lift soaking wet with rain pissing down hahaha gnarly but some snow would be nice). Hopefully got some mad dumps this winter coming though.
Probably gonna head down from brissie to ski for a real short trip (3 days or something) and not sure whether to hit falls again because I know the mountain well now or try nsw. I feel like for a 3 day trip falls might be better because I know it (save time figuring out the logistics of getting around the place etc), but any advice regarding threddy or perro?
cheers
strayln_SkierOnly go to Thredbo if the snow is really fucking good
skippaAny reason in particular, don't they have much snowmaking or something.
Leaving the trip booking to last minute this year hahaha so I'm gonna wait for the dumps before booking anything. 3rd year of driving up to sights of grassy hills would get a bit old hahaha.
strayln_SkierHalf of Thredbo is grass unless theres a big low level dump
skippaThanks for the tip mang. I guess I was pretty surprised at how much area was ski-able at falls last year considering the conditions. Trees that I was skiing through were under a meter of snow a week later though hahhaha
eojApparently this year's supposed to be heaps good for aus standards
SchlossAdlerAnyone thinking of heading up to buller next week? Snow forecast is saying its getting a bit (1/2m+) of probably wet and heavy snow from now till sunday but I'm pretty keen to just have a ski and hike a rail or something. I was gonna head up tuesday for the student day pass ($64) but my mates have exams and I'd much rather go up with a crew.
theabortionatorAnybody on park crew at Perisher or any of the other hills?
Down to work anywhere but would be cool to work at Perisher since I'm already working for VR in the states. I figure Perisher is prolly a tough gig to get.
At the same time dif I end up at a different mtn id just rock it there for a few years rather than switch it up to tey and get in at Perisher.
SchlossAdlerI don't actually know but I imagine Rish is hard to get in the park crew, but if you have experience cat driving it surely wouldn't hurt. I worked at Thredbo last season and our park crew is pretty hard to get into too, they've got a good group of guys coming back every year and only hire if one of them doesn't I heard. Bunch of legends tho

SchlossAdlerI'm heading up to hotham this weekend so I guess I'll report back on the park ayy. Park looks sick, hoping its not an exposed ice pit. Bonus marks: I'll be the idiot buttering around with some walls on.
footmassagei’ll be the idiot with 1 or no poles trying not to re break my wrist hmu
