What's the most bomb-proof ski brand?

Lots of talk about what skis break easily and lots of stories on NS about people breaking skis. But does anyone have or ever had a pair of skis that you thought was absolutely bomb-proof? My friend has had ridden park on the same pair of volkl walls for like 7-8 years and i swear those things are indestructible. Anyone else?

I have over 250 days on my faction 3.0s. The topsheets look brand new and they are still not clapped out. Also when i owned k2 hellbents they survived 3 mounts and a shop fuck up that drilled all the way thru the bases. They would not die.

I have over 200 days on my Kartel 108's and they must have at least 200+ more left in them. They feel better every day. If they ever get stolen, I will skin the perp alive.

I've literally only ever heard, experienced, and seen bad things when it comes to K2 durability. There's been more than a couple threads about it actually over the years too.

My vishnus we’re doing great until I straightlined the run of of a cliff drop right into a rock, now the tip is fucked and the rocker is a little weird on one ski but the edges, sidewalls and bases are holding up really well, they still have a ton of pop and look perfect, only have like 68 days on them though

Most of our team members ski on concrete regularly and use one or two pairs per season, whereas before vishnu they would use 5+ pairs per season.

i dont know man. back in the day i used to rock the k2 PE's they they were bomber! a load of the stept dudes also used to rock k2. maybe the quality has dropped of over the years but considering the quantity of skis they made and how cheap you could pick them up for they were pretty solid

Going through 1 to 2 pairs of skis per season seems to be the avg for the people that i ride park with, regardless of the brand. These guys really hammer their skis. Some of them are comp kids. But in general, i'd say, most of them lean towards Armada.

I consider any ski lasting for 1 season pretty good as far as park goes

I was talking about that the other dude. They hold up really fucking well. Surprised the shit out of me. Idk if i just dont charge very hard but they pretty much look brand new this far into the season.

The topsheets on my 4frnt clicks look dead but the ski itself is durable as hell I progressed a ton on rails this season and hit a little urban and I got one edge crack last week it’s my first pair but I bought them because everyone said 4frnt had good durability

Have poachers for this season. 30ish days edges are perfect no cracks. top sheet chipped up around the edges but i ski like a jackass so that's that. bases look good considering they saw more rocks than powder. Broke my nordicas last season after 20 days. 30+ edge cracks, edge separated from sidewall but did not rip out, waterlogged core, cliff first day in colorado, land backseat, snap.

Yea Armada definetly seems like a good brand for park obviouslly just wanted to make sure that I have the opinion of someone who has personally ridden one of the arvs

Icelantic Da'nollie. Been going hard in the park for 5 years now and only issue is broken edges. The carbon topsheet and full sidewall really do wonders for their longevity.

I'm surprised that just about every post in this thread is about a different brand. I thought there would be at least a cluster of people saying one or two brands are more sturdy than the others. Then again, nobody owns one of everything that they can compare every ski.

I’ve seen a lot of K2 in this post & in my experience that holds true.

The first gen Domains lasted me a while given the fact they were best to literal hell when I bought them second hand.

Only reason I had to trash them is because the bindings ripped out too many times. They were still very much useable

But you dont think the bindings ripping out had anything to do with the quality of the skis?

And yeah some are saying K2 is durable, others not. I remember the old Public Enemies had a reputation for being sturdy

my k2 poachers have been to hell and back (many ditches and shit) and they are still quite sturdy. some broken edges but that happens fast anyways. Armada skis also hold up extremely well.

After the first mount I’ll give more leniency... I bought them unplugged heavily used for $100. Who knows if there was water damage to the core etc.. They were straight noodles, softest skis I’ve ever seen. I’m around 185 lbs & I ripped the bindings out the first time on a noseblock, likely the most stress you can ever put on bindings..

It took months of 6 day / week riding before that happened too. That’s why I still give em a good rating on durability.

I have a pair of 2012 Line Chronics that I abused for like 3 seasons and they are still in mint condition somehow. Now I have Fatypus skis and those are also super durable.

My moment teams have taken a complete beating. Skied closed to 500 days on them in the park mostly and more recently for urban. Edges under foot are non existent but the rest of the skis edges are still good to go and can hold a pretty good edge. top sheet has minor chips but still look totally fine

Icelantic da'nollies are pretty sturdy but they're discontinued. Most icelantic skis literally have the bombproof warranty (3 years i think) so theres that. Mine have held up nicely and im looking into getting another pair second hand because i grew out of my old ones.
