Replying to How to ski as much as possible as a college student from the Midwest
See title. I go to college in Atlanta so no skiing there, and I come from the Midwest so the only skiing available in the winter is crappy Wisconsin hills. I've recently picked up downhill longboarding to get my adrenaline fix in the summer, plus Atlanta is really hilly so it's a dream for longboard freeride. However, skiing was my first love, and I've been skiing a bit every year since I was 4. I really want to finally spend a substantial chunk of time on actual Rocky mountain slopes at the next possible opportunity. I'm cooped up here in college until late spring, and I'm likely going to spend summer here too, so idk what I can do inbetween without paying for an expensive flight. Do you guys have any suggestions? Winter break is 3 weeks--before, during, and after Xmas--so I gotta be with my family for Christmas week. There are spring/fall breaks but they're like a 5-day weekend. How do I ski as much as possible given these conditions? Do you guys have any tricks?
I did think of doing a co-op/internship for a ski/boot/binding company but idk how possible that is, even given the tech school I go to.
