VISHNUDepends on who's work you are using. If you buy the rights to stock images you can do whatever you want with them (usually). A wise man once told me "do it until someone tells you not to". Line made a topsheet for the Anthem once that was reminiscent (sort of) of the band KISS and they were forced by the band's lawyers to stop making/selling them. So it happens. Luckily we know what to use/what not to use in a general sense.
lol i hate kiss and gene simmons but you're kind of misrepresenting what happened. it was an idiotic move on Line's part, they were/are way too big and successful to 1) be pulling that bush league shit and 2) act surprised that KISS would sue them or whatever for that. shocker that it was the same dude who had to be told he can't name a ski(board) the "Jedi" lol...
and it wasn't "reminiscent (sort of)", IIRC it was a blatant resemblance, like a little gene simmons with a guitar and painted face, so as to fit the ski's whole KISS theme. playing dumb at that level isn't a good look...
i like Vishnu's stony ass graphics and you guys are small enough to do whatever there... but line (and now j skis) has feigned ignorance and tried to pretend theyre a little guy that laws shouldn't apply to, just too much while selling thousand and thousands of skis over the years. ripping graphics off google images to put on your $700 skis that youre selling like hotcakes is just such poor form IMO
