Armada bindings?

I heard a rumor that armada is going to sell binding next year with the skis or you can buy the skis by themselves. I heard they are going to be rebranded salomon warden bindings. Can anyone back me up one this or know anything about it?

This is accurate. I saw the rest of the hardgoods catalog when I was at OR and those are in fact a real thing.

Armada is owned by Amer who also owns Salomon who makes the Warden. Seems pretty straightforward to me.

no i get that thanks, i was questioning why wardens but then i remembered wardens are just STHs except the toe piece accepts more types of boots (right?). i was thinking of the warden as a lower tier model

I can't back you up, but ...

Theoretically speaking it could be true/possible that Armada has their "own" rebranded warden bindings next year. Since Amer Sports Corporation owns both Salomon and Armada, corporation between the two companies are highly possible. If the do work together then they could also have rebranded STH² WTR binding.

If you think about it, rebranded Salomon warden binding allready exist today, Scott has them, Atomic has them too (Not really relevant since Atomic and Salomon allready belonged to the same group before Amer acquired Armada).

never had the warden bindings, but i hear they suck. many guys at a resort not far away from me had them, and i think almost all of them got some sort of problem with them. and they look kinda shit as well. the STH bindings Look better i think, i had those and they were fine, but the brakes bent really quick. they should have used them in my opinion

I think it's basically just seen as their commercial binding models, they're recommending the warden 13 for top end models like JJ, ARV 106, 96 etc with options for Warden 11s on some of the lower end skis. The idea of stuff being in a package is meant to be a good deal for the customer and STHs are a bit pricier cos of the toepiece so makes sense to go with wardens. Makes them a more attractive option against the griffon/squire or attack13/11 which are the most likely competitors to those bindings too.

Can confirm they look pretty sick in person!

and interesting that armada is owned by amer who also owns salomon so that makes sense. But what about 4FRNT? they seem privately owned by have been pusing the tyrolia attacks/adrenalins for years now and just started doing the dynafit uptrack thing.

more ways to sell product i guess?

I've always wondered this too. Many companies have done it in the past....4frnt had the deadbolts....never really made sense to me tbh.

yeah when theres literally no differences in performance/construction other than a paint job, just makes more sense to buy directly from look/salomon/tyrolia,etc. but I do know 4FRNT will give you a nice deal if you package skis and bindings together, or even throw in a free set of bindings too as an incentive.
