My local ski shop may have screwed up my binding mount

Try skiing on them. If it throws of your balance when you’re doing spins and balancing on rails, then it throws of your balance when you’re doing spins and balancing on rails

Adapt. Improvise. Overcome.

Never “tell” anybody doing service for you a thing. ALWAYS put what you want done in writing. That way you’re covered and the shop has to fix the screw up. Recommended and center on a K2 is a significant difference. 7.5 cm I think???

Get your money back

I mark true center on skis eith liquid paper before getting them mounted. Even if they already have marks. That way the tech knows exactly where to mount the skis and isn't relying on a sticky note another employee may have left lying somewhere. Besides, sometimes the topsheet shifts a little so it's a good idea to measure the skis yourself.

I'd be a little upset if the shop mounted my skis back when I asked for center. They probably won't replace your skis but I'm pretty sure they'll remount them.

To start with how big are you? The press is more like a jr park ski. If you are a decent size you don't really want to be hitting rails on it as it's a price point cap construction ski. If you are ok with this test them out. If you don't like the mount point take them back to the shop. Do you have a copy of the mount form where you wrote center mount? If so you can speak to the shop, explain the issue and hopefully they will make it right. If you don't have anything to back up that you wanted center hopefully they will still remount them free of charge but don't expect new skis.

a lot of park skiers are moving their mounts back like 1 to 3 cm from center, especially on skis that aren't symmetrical. It can actually help switch skiing of those type of skis. If they aren't too much more than 3cm back, just try them out for a while. They will probably turn better.

I’m 5’8 and 15 so these skis are perfect for me for a little while. Later I’m probably going to get blends because I like a sort of flexy ski that I can jib and do small to medium sized jumps
