gluikJust snapped my Kartel 98s last weekend on a cliff drop and I currently don’t have anything to ski on. I applied for a warranty a few days ago and they haven’t gotten back to me yet and I’m kinda looking forward to getting back on snow. Has anyone here ever dealt with their warranty policy before?
Sorry to hear about your skis. Response wise...was just told that the application came in late Sunday night. We're closed Sunday & Monday and as you can imagine, we build up a lot of email volume over the weekend during the season. Basically one guy sorting and answering all that, along with handling a lot of other responsibilities - so a slight bit of patience is appreciated. We do our best to respond as quickly as possible, but as a company, we're a lot smaller than I think people realize.
gluikThis isn’t a call out or anything I’m just wondering if they will usually replace them
We'll review it and let you know over email. Hard to know without seeing all the info - which would get bumped to me if there are any questions. I mean - reason seems clear given your statement about snapping them off a cliff. We're happy to help however we can within the terms of our policy.
PowPiratethere's like a million threads on this dude. try a follow up email or give them a call. I've never dealt with them personally but from the way they conduct themselves on here their top notch.
Obviously on our end, we'd love to get at least 1 business day to respond before seeing a thread. A thread or social media post without any contract can be pretty frustrating too. For us, its nice to be given a chance to address an issue first. That said, just part of the game.
If it is super urgent, by all means call the factory. When we work is listed on the website. We're a small crew - literally just a couple of us handling all email/phone/shipping/chat/social/customer service - and we don't have someone available on customers service 24/7 - so just doing the best we can with what we have.
gluik - I am sure Sean will be back to you directly soon. We normally work oldest forward. Thanks!
