Ski Socks over or under your base layer?

I put them under, you just put the socks on before the pants, but I've heard some do over, what's the general opinion here?

imo socks should be the only things actually in your boot, keep base layer scrunched up at your calf, anything else in the boot and you get wrinkles which leads to pain and i feel like it increases shinbang. My go to is double slalom socks

roll up the pants and tuck them into the top of the socks. kind of like a baseball player or something. i personally think having pants under socks and then having them stuck in boots is the worst.

Don't most base layer pants end at mid shin just for this reason? At least mine does.

Get 3/4 first layer, I got a pair of Armadas for 20$ on evo and thats maybe the best piece of ski gear I ever bought... As dude above said, wrinkles when you tuck them in either way is so frustrating

only socks in your boot. wouldn't think it'd matter much what you choose above your boot.

pull base layer to where it is tight around ur calf, but still comfortable, them pull sock over and make sure it doesn't scrunch up
