Best boots for big mountain

I have Head Raptors. Although I have invested a lot into them with foam injected liners etc., I find them quite heavy and clunky for inbounds hiking up to terrain. Any research I do for "big mountain" styled boots directs me towards touring boots. Are these suitable performance wise for inbounds pow, steeps and crud? Or am I fine keeping my racing styled Raptors?

You won’t get anywhere close to the same performance out of an out of the box touring boot, or even a lighter alpine boot as you will be getting out of your foam injected raptors.
Lighter boots will hike uphill better and probably be warmer but nothing will give you the downhill performance of a foam inject in a race boot, assuming they fit you correctly.
