Heading there for the first time this week, any words of advice? Places to eat/drink etc.

Cell coverage is extremely spotty because of a nearby radio telescope or something. Radios could be useful if you’re going with a big group

Snowshoe is miles from the middle of nowhere. All food/drink is at the summit and is pricey. The western express lift on the backside of Snowshoe is crazy for the east coast, it has like 2,500ft of vertical.

Close but just a bit off on the vertical. It's 1500 and crazy for anything outside of New England.

probably heading out there in a couple weeks, anyone know the best places at the mtn or near there to car camp? any specific parking lots that they don't really care if u car camp?
