LonelyBut couldn't You make the same argument for flat earthers? There is plenty literature, videos and other stuff online about it. They really don't have anything to gain in believing in a flat earth. A lot of them couldn't tell you why it would even make a difference politically or financially that the earth is flat.
But yet the movement still exists even though there is a large amount of evidence agaist it.

milk_manYou can empirically prove them wrong. Because their entire belief hinges on something being a certain way. But with the resurrection, Christians aren't claiming that it's physically possible to be raised from the dead. That's kind of the whole point--we claim that is it impossible.....but it happened. There's no way to empirically prove that wrong. It would be more effective to prove the accounts wrong, but like I said that's really hard to do because there's so many and they cross reference very, very well.
iFlipWho said anything about them flying and breathing fire? They have a very distinct shape/depiction, throughout the annuls of Chinese history. In fact, the idea that dragons exist is likely less ridiculous than the "white Jesus" that is always shown in depictions.

I am a Christian and my most legit argument would be this. why believe you are going to just die and nothing will happen why not believe everything you have done in life will matter. Life is a game your score determines your afterlife

The.FishI learned long ago that you cannot fight religion on online forums. It never ends well, But I am Catholic. The idea of repenting for your sins and getting into heaven is interpreted wrong for most people. You have to truly be sorry for your sins for them to be forgiven, and only you and God know if you are truly sorry. People always say “I need Jesus to save me.” I was caught on this teaching for a long time, but at the end of the day. If Jesus is God, he is the one who saves you from the gates of Hell. It is his choice. You can’t save yourself. You are not God, you can’t save yourself. I hope i explained that in a somewhat logical and understanding way based on what christians believe. I am not saying this is how it works guaranteed, its just what I believe and I wanted to clear up some misconceptions. I repeat this was not to start an argument

Then the question comes up if god does exsist why the fuck does he do such horrible shit to people. Why does Ebola exsit? Why do young kids get cancer? Why did he create autism? Why did he let his followers create residential schools? If he hates gay people so much, why did he make them gay?

The.FishI am in high school, and all of my practicing christian young adult friends all seem like they are just filled with joy. It is nice to remember that some people actually love their life versus public school where everybody is just complaining and wants to kill themselves. My school has had 4 suicides in the last 12 months, our class sizes are around 300 kids. For some background, I live in a wealthier area with a 90% white population id say.

You do realize that religion is the essence and beginning roots of mankind right? So you want to get rid of religion which would basically get rid of history itself. You sound pretty dumb advocating against something that has evolved our very existence as a human race... whether it be good or bad.
MLBI’m relatively certain that all my years growing up in catholic school, as an altar boy in my church, and all that bible study/ Sunday school was for nothing I guess.
Dude I know enough about religion that it’s antiquated and bullshit. If you had said it’s the basis of cilvilised society then I would of agreed with you, but religion is not the basis of makand. It worked great as a fudal form governance, but we have this things called laws, government, and science that makes religion obsolete.

SteezyYeetera lot of you seemed confused about the whole 'forgiveness' thing. you cannot go burn an old lady's house down, steal her money, and then kill her, say sorry and go to heaven. you have to be genuinely sorry (and in the case of catholicism, confess it to a priest). so it doesn't matter what it looks like to us, if they're sorry or not, but inside they do have to really be sorry. and it's not like you can fake that, it's god you're talking about.
