Look Pivot for Powder skis?

I have some new Black Crows Atris Birdie (107mm underfoot). I am using these as my pow, steeps, off piste ski and am in need of a binding. I have been a fan of the Rossi fks which I have on my park ski. So naturally I'm looking at the Look Pivot 14, but I've discovered these aren't the most advised binding for pow skis due to the lateral movement and difficulty in getting the skis back on in deep snow. Should I be looking at a Tyrolia or something else?

pivots on pow skis can be a pain, totally subjective tbh tho

Bindings with 3 piece heels are usually ideal for pow skis, as they’re easier to step back into in soft snow. Tyrolia Attack 13 would be the cheapest option, but a Salomon STH has more elastic travel and has a better build quality/skis a little better IMO, if you’re willing to spend the extra cash, which I’m assuming you are, given you’re looking at the pivot.

I have attacks on all my skis, including my Rocker 122s. Love them. Had all pivots but sold them once I got attacks. They are much easier to b get into in deep snow. They also have the lowest stance height of any binding (at least first gen attacks) and a 73mm wide afd which is great for driving wider skis. And a plus is they are about 130 dollars cheaper in the 13 din compared to a pivot 14

Here we go... the age old question of “should pivots go on pow skis”. The answer is maybe.
yes, if you keep taking your skis on and off/fall a ton and eject from your skis then snow will get caked in the turntables. It doesn’t take long to brush them out but it still is an extra step to do in deep snow. Mind you, if you don’t eat it often in pow then pivots are fine and if you clean your boots off properly instead of just kicking them back into your bindings then caked turntables aren’t a problem.
If you are that worried about the getting your bindings on and off in pow then go the Tyrolia attack or Solly STH route. Both bindings are great alternatives to the pivots.

Over the years I have never understood why people think it's hard to click into pivots in pow. It literally requires maybe 1% more effort to clear the snow haha

I think they're easier to click into in super deep snow, instead of having to step down which can be tricky you can lift up the heel.
