Help me pass my NREMT

Finished my MFR so like EMT-B a couple months ago, just got my ITLS to finish before I get my certification, sorry man, I hear its tough. I’m going for my EMT in October. Best of luck and lots of respect to you firefighters.

I mean EMT is great and all but the problem I see with wildland firefighters who get it is they have a super hard time keeping it current because if your fighting fire all the time it’s hard to get clinic hours and stay current.
If you have been studying all winter, take the NR and your local state cert. Especially if you’ve sold yourself as a EMT to get a job.
One other problem I see is some states have higher standards then the National level so if travel to other state that has a higher level you might not be authorized to act as emt unless it’s a severe emergency.
My two cents for you if go to any fire check with medical supervisor of the fire and ask what level of your allowed to preform.
Also apply common sense to the situation. If guy cuts his leg off will he sue you for putting a tourniquet on ? Probably not.
