Music while skiing?

A bunch of people I know listen to music while they’re skiing but it always distracts me from what I’m doing.

I like to alternate.

When you are riding trees or pow I love the serenity with only the sounds of your skis.

Park and crusin' I love me some tunes.

And with friends I alternate between one earbud in and no earbuds. Gotta hear them hootin and hollerin.

I mean, if it wasn't made twice a month, how would anyone ever know?

I mean look in the lift line OP. A lot of people have head phones or speakers, a lot of people don't.

Bluegrass is oddly enjoyable to listen to while skiing pow in Montana, but in Wyoming I prefer Tom Petty. Back home in the Midwest it was all hip hop.

If im just crusiin around i love skiing with music, its a blast, gets you flowing

If im doing some gnarly where I need to focus, i usually turn it off

I have to ski with music now. I just vibe to it and I'll listen to everything to change it up. Listening to music also helps me not get locked in my own head thinking about tricks or being nervous.

When doing park laps and especially when sending it listening to music is a must have for me. If I try to ski park without music I'll literally mess up every trick and it's ridiculous.

I was making an edit with my friend and my phone died so no music, I messed up every single trick in the line. Couple runs later when my phone was charged I laced it all. Idk I just need it to get in the zone really :/

i used to listen to music but now i dont. i like the silence in the trees and hearing my friends, like someone else said. i feel like being plugged into my phone all day kind of takes away from the experience but, to each their own.
