ThundercatIf Daddy said yes then I'd deffiinently pick them up! I'm jealous your small enough to ride them, it sucks being 6'1"
teamSESHIf you’re looking for rocker they’re dope as fuck in my opinion. It’s cool to support smaller companies as well.
Too bad bad they don’t come in more sizes.
JakeDalBonYea ik maybe next year they will.
JakeDalBonIm 5'7 atm but im only 16 so hopefully buy the time my bdogs r unusable ill be around 5'8/5'9
teamSESHWhat size are your Armadas?
Park.I've spent a full season on this years Transfers and they are the best skis I have ever used. Fair warning Im their intern, but I wouldn't want to flex their product so much unless I honestly believe in what I say. I can answer any questions you have about them.
teamSESHAre there ever any sales or discounted previous models available? I assume no but doesn’t hurt to ask lol. The demand is too high for the supply it seems.
Park. They have sold out every model for the past couple seasons so there is no remaining stock except for current models. There are sales during the summer and possibly in the late spring depending on the inventory left (if any). If you are interested in purchasing a pair, I can see if I can help, just DM me.
teamSESHI’ll have to keep that in mind. I just started skiing again so I bought some super cheap K2 Domains that I’m going to end up destroying relearning rails but I’m already shopping around for what I’m going to buy once I stop skiing like shit and the Domains are spent.
So far the HG Junkyard Transfers and the ON3P Magnuses seem to be the winners. Too bad I’ll never find a demo for them in the Wisconsin area but whatever lol.
Park.Ive been on the Magnus's and the Filthy Riches, and I have also toured their factory and talked to the people in their company. Nothing but respect for those guys and I don't think you can make a bad decision picking between either ski.
I personally didn't like the feel of the rocker on the Magnus, it felt a little too loose for me, but thats what it was designed to do so I can't hate on it. I would say they hold up a little better on jumps too but they are definitely comparable. They are also noticeably lighter, but a fair amount narrower so that only makes sense. Very fun rail ski though.
teamSESHIt’s a tough choice and both companies are super dope. Which ski would you say is softer and by how much?
I am basically looking for a ski that will be center mounted and used primarily for rails and small-mid sized jump lines (not many big features in Wisconsin and honestly they’re just not for me). I’m only going to be doing like 3s, 5s and some 7s with pretty simple inverts like backs, fronts, and Lincoln loops.
I am kind of leaning towards the Transfers and I don’t blame you if you recommend your own product. I work in sales and I also understand brand loyalty.
Park. The Magnus isnt a soft ski. The rocker makes it playful similar to K2 Poachers (Poachers are more stiff w rocker and Magnus is mid/stiff flex underfoot w more rocker).
The Transfer is a mid/soft ski that has the most natural flex of the others the flex difference between the tips/tails and the center are fairly close in comparison to the Magnus. Since the ski is wider than the magnus, the softer flex doesnt lose as much stability as you'd think. Its a moderately damp ski with predictable pop and its definitely more fun to butter than any other ski I have used.
For jumps, I've only washed out on noseheavy landings around 50ft.
Blends are overly soft imo, magnus's have a noticable hinge point, but the Transfer has a flex that lets you determine how much flex you want to put into the skis and you can lock them in. Check out Jeremy's nosebud 2 on @ bush from the other day on the HG insta.
My biggest problem with the skis is that once they break in they get too soft for me, but I've been on stiff skis until this season. I might go for the Stingers when I need a new pair, but I won't need a new pair for a minute. Honestly so impressed with the durability of these skis.

-DanI've been on my els for 2 season now. absolutely love em. They are super light and maneuverable. When I'm not in the park with them I ski the fastest I've ever skied. They just feel so stable and responsive that I have a lot of confidence blasting around on them. The shape is also really cool. Makes them feel not as wide as they actually are in terms of getting over on an edge. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering them. I'll hopefully be buying a new pair of em for next year when I retire my current pair. Save yourself $150 with "TRU" at check out.
JacksonScottYa i need a 183, the should make 2 sizes...
JakeDalBonI am actually doing an intern program around this time of year in 2020 (ik its far away from now but since ur an inter i thought id just ask anyways). Do u think that if I as a senior in high school were to ask them for an internship they would say yes and if so what would i learn/do. Thanks
teamSESHHave you ever skied on K2 Domains or Line Invaders? I have been riding 2017 Domains since I started skiing again and the ski that I was riding and remember the most before I quit skiing was the 2009 Line Invader. Damn... it sure has been a long time. I can’t imagine how where I would be skill wise if I never stopped... it’s kind of depressing.
Park.I cant input on the yes/ no, but each internship is going to be different based on the company's needs. The last intern that im awre of hhelped film street for them while Im handling computer stuff currently. Its such a close group of people that you will learn more about HG and how a business runs in general, but I couldnt give you specifics.
