.FryIt’s a good phone. I ski with mine in my pocket every week and don’t really give a fuck about it and it’s fine for the most part. I ate shit a few weeks ago and it bent in my pocket but still works well. It’s really fast and just an overall great phone without the extra bs.
icedhow is the battery out skiing in the cold?
corporatelobyistkeep the flip phone
SofaKingSickwelcome to the dark side!
.FrySurprisingly well. It’s always resting against my leg in my snowpants pocket which keeps it warm enough to last all day. I’m typing this on the lift lol.
TahoesemilocalI have the 64gb one and there’s really no way anyone could use all that unless you’re making a lot of videos or something, so spending the extra money really isn’t worth it
VinnieF64gb is easy to fill up. Lots of music, offline Wikipedia, offline maps, and you're well on your way.
teamSESHWith the current price of streaming I disagree but it depends on your provider. Do you happen to know the storage amount required for offline Wikipedia on Android and iOS? I'm honestly curious and too lazy to DuckDuckGo/Google it.
32 gigs has been fine for me on iOS but I stream a lot of stuff. I also use cloud storage and move most of my photos/music to my 256gb Linux based laptop and 32 gigs of NAS.
GrandThingsI got one. All the high society girls I work with make fun of my for having a 'tiny phone' compared to their X + or whatever... but I usually turn that around pretty well
.Dadnot sure why people these days are obsessed with having a phone so big that you can't fit it in your pocket.
OregonDeadStill liking the SE but it is really pushing the upper limit on case size. It fits in the breast pocket of my shirt but I can barely button the pocket with the phone in there. It barely fits in the zip up phone/ media pockets in the different fleeces and jackets that I have tried it in too.
eheathThere are plenty of cases that are much smaller and provide similar amount of impact protection, if you want it fully waterproof you're kinda stuck with a huge case.
TBH i only use a case on my phone when I drive so I can use a magnet mount in my car, otherwise a case just ruins the overall experience with my phone.
OregonDeadI meant the actual case of the phone. The otterbox doesn't really add any size to it.
SE is a great phone though and at this point it is really eye opening to actually get all the text messages people are sending me. Based on the amount of texts I've received since getting the SE I'm sure I missed a ton of texts when I had the old flip phone. Worth it to have a phone that actually works even if it is big.
I'm probably just going to have to re tool my wardrobe this summer and probably bring back the cargo shorts or get a bunch of short sleeve shirts with good secure pockets.
