Sup NS's. I've been thinking about about University and still have no fucking ideas what I want to do so I'm thinking of getting some life experience before I go in. I'll be 17 when I graduate in November ( Australian school year). Over my summer/Christmas break I was over in Canada teaching skiing for a couple months ( I'm a dual citizen so work visas for Canada don't really matter for me) and it was shit tonnes of fun. I'm planning on going back once I finish up and doing a season. My grandparents own a place on the hill and they said I could stay in so rent will be free. After I finish up the season, I kinda want to do a first trip around to some mountains.
I have an uncle who lives up in Powell River (a couple hours on a ferry to the north of Vancouver) who used to be a wood shop teacher at the local highschool. I'm thinking of buying a van and converting it into a camper. Also could do a bus if there is a good enough deal or have a crew. Try to get a job in Powell River to keep saving over the summer. From there probably buy an ikon pass out something similar and ski all through the a
West coast hopefully down to Squaw or mammoth.
Just wanted to throw it out there and get some opinions. What kinda budget would this require as well? Given I make about 400 every two weeks teaching skiing. Also does anyone have info about international driver's licences. How young can you be to have one?
