They both seem like fun skis. Ive skied a few ON3P's. They really make a killer ski so me personally I'd lean in that direction. But I know Lucas Wachs rips on Lib Techs they seem to be great as well. My vote is for ON3P but I'm a bit biased.i really don't think you could go wrong

the ufo is lighter and has a significantly shorter sidecut than the kartel116. Based on my experience on my ufo115 i would consider those if you want a playful softer flexing soft snow only ski, whereas the k116 is prob a bit stiffer and def more versatile. The k116 is the more sturdy - hence the extra weight.
For me, the ufo115 was just way too soft. Had i been a soft snow jibber only playing around they could have been a lot of fun, but their performance on groomers was just too chattery on high speed groomer runs. Sure, a 115mm ski isn't necessarily designed to be a groomer killer, but then again it cannot be so one dimensional that it doesn't work well on groomers imo. The wreckcreate115/pow115 slays groomers, the ufo115 does not in spite of having quite a bit of camber and a healthy dose of sidecut. My k108 is stiffer than the ufo115, and as the k108 and k116 supposedly share the same flex pattern, it follows that the k116 is stiffer than the ufo115. Magne traction doesn't really do anything - especially in softer snow - since it is so watered down nowadays.
Next year's ufo 115 is stiffer and has a longer 19m radius. Based on the geo and metrics i think that ski is significantly more versatile than the current ufo115 offering. Or to put it bluntly - unless you like soft skis, primarily ride soft untracked light snow, and are prone to primarily only butter/jib your way around on the mountain - aka carving or high speed riding on groomers ain't your thing - than next year's ufo115 should be a significant upgrade over this years.
what would i do? Well, i am selling my ufo115 (based in norway) and if i was to get a new 115/116mm ski i would have bought the k116 of the two, where i def would want to demo next year's ufo115 prior to even considering to buy a second pair. The k116 i would just buy - no demo required - based on the reviews i've seen and its geo/metrics i think it is probably a very good ski.
i am not saying the uf0115 is a poor ski - it is not. It just doesn't fit my riding style and conditions. In a snow rich environment that gets new snow all the time i think they could be a super fun ski.

I haven't skied these but I have skied the Kartel 108 and the UFO 100 and I like the feel of the Kartel better. As the post above me said, I think you will find the Kartel to be more stable and versatile. IDK about Libtech's durability but ON3P's durability is unmatched
