What resorts have the most aesthetic background mountains?

I was watching a crested butte edit and i realized that the surrounding mountains really add to the epicness of the skiing experience. Which mountains do you think have the best backdrops?

Totally worth checking out, especially if you can get it on a pow day. It's the mountain I grew up at. So many great memories and great times. View on top is pretty damn cash.

GhostTotally worth checking out, especially if you can get it on a pow day. It's the mountain I grew up at. So many great memories and great times. View on top is pretty damn cash.

Yeah that’s definitely gonna be on my to do list just gotta hope for decent roads on a pow day

Pretty much anywhere in BC has a pretty killer view on clear days, and by extension most resorts in the world I’d assume. Be harder to find resorts that don’t have any good views in my opinion(not counting indoor hills)

Anyone ever ski Badger Pass at Yosemite? Yet to do it. Maybe I'll make the trip out there next year, just to say I did. Have no idea if they have good views on the resort or if you have to crosscountry ski to get the great views.. but could be interesting lol.






Also Hawaii's got a ski resort right by a volcano.

Embarrassingly enough it was onto an airbag hahah, landed perfectly on my feet but my skis stuck to the bag and my body kept going

GhostI'm going to throw in Zermatt - Switzerland, Chamonix - France, and Wengen - Switzerland.


I skied a day in zermatt in august years ago. The temp in the town was 70 degrees but at the top of the top gondola it was 20. I skied down to the park which was around 50 degrees. It was really cool to feel the major temp change as you changed altitude. Crazy how much snow they have up there. Glaciers are a whole different animal. The view was epic too. The town is filled with dreamhouses. Nice place to retire.

Its pretty rare to actually see it but when there is a spring Bluebird day, the view of Lake Pend Oreille from the top of Schweizer is epic.

Based purely off of views, Brian head utah has a pretty great backdrop. Perfect view of Bryce canyon and cedar breaks

My favorite part of sunshine is how isolated it feels once you get to the base. You can't see roads from anywhere, just mountains surrounding you everywhere you look

Whiteface has a dope view at the top of Lake Placid. I got super lucky with the sunset. I hiked the highland bowl in Aspen and I thought that was super cool too. I didn't get a pic of me with maroon bells though.

Wy East (Mt Hood) is an iconic mountain in it’s own right


From Mt Bachelor you get some pretty dope views from all 360 degrees of the mountain. This are two of the three sisters







White River Canyon from the Meadows side. Both Timberline and Meadows allow you to have access to views that are out of this world. Look east to see the plains, and look west from Palmer/ Mile Chair on a good day you can see Portland and the river.
