4 real tho, people were flipping out abt NN. All you need to do is use some common sense anout the free market to know it's not even a bad thing, and that your internet experience won't change. If you don't understand the reasoning behind a law/policy, then don't just get angry because everybody else is.

I would like to call myself a libertarian, but the reality is that half the party are idiots. Gary Johnson was an idiot. There are some who consider themselves to have the majority of libertarian views, and are extremely intellegent (Ben Shapiro for example). What I agree upon in the libertarian party is that the government SUCKS. Free healthcare- it would SUCK (in terms of quality). Government services in general- AWFUL. The free market is what ensures quality and innovation in the human race, and is the most ideal to human nature.

For a true democracy, the people have the upper hand; not the government. The government is absolutely terrible at spensing money, and using taxpayers as pawns on a chessboard. Government regulation is not leaving it to the people, and is instead just get outbof everyones buisness. This doesn't mean it shouldn't protect moral values or serve us, but instead it shouldn't be so controlling over us or the free market. That's exactly what NN was doing.

The free market lets the people decide what they want, and if people don't want to pay these new premiums, they won't. Instead they will turn to a new/different provider who won't charge premiums, and they will start raking in cash. This is what I mean about common sense.

The problem is we don't have a free market. There is no regional competition and the ISPs are trying to enact federal bans of municipal networks with Pai's help. Read Ars Technica if you want to understand the situation better, they post almost 1 article a day on this.

Got lost in the news cycle and the government + media pushed this Trump/Russia collusion thing hard so that everyone forgets about it and becomes outraged at whatever next story is going to get lost in the cycle.

Good to see there at least some framework to try and combat it, I recall reading some articles on Reddit or something about it recently.

It's fucked up but they're already pushjng more Trump/Russia stuff on dipshits watching network news and trying to run out the course of the school shooting/gun debate so we all forget about that and the government/media keeps getting checks from the NRA
