I've noticed that they have changed to using flags instead of dye on the jumps in flat light conditions. Is this standard at all Vail resorts?

The.FishHow many places actually mark their kickers?
theabortionatorMaybe 50% IT's a mix between dye and flags. Most of the bigger parks run flags or clean. Some of the smaller medium ones dye. Not many places mark knuckles out side of comps though. That's really rare.
But a good amount of resorts have something on the takeoffs. Idk that it's necessary, as I've never had a problem on clean white takeoffs, but it does look nice and it's a free branding opportunity so I'm keen on it.
Kind of like the stencil on rails. You see the flags and you're like "Oh that's jumps at______" even if you aren't familiar with the park.
The.FishMy hill doesn't mark anything, even the one time we built a 50 foot jump
nxtyrsfulltiltsI don't think Seven Springs ever uses dye. They sure like flags on everything though. I don't think marking take offs is worth doing.
