the thing is the skis he uses arent rockered, so most of it is effective edge, while Henrik's Skis, which may be taller, have a metric shitton of rocker, so I dont really understand

I feel like blenders have something to do with it.....funny how "free" skiing is getting closer & closer to having mandatory skills like gymnastics or something :/

I love Jesper's style ik many people don't like it but I still think he should be getting better results in comps

If you watched his olympics quail runs you’d see he just pushes it way too hard and therefore doesn’t put down enough completely clean runs.

His rail section was awesome but carried too much risk. He just doesn’t have that comp mentality yet. In slope you’ve probably got to ski at 90% to have a good chance of putting something down clean from start to finish under pressure

Jesper spins switch rightside from looking over his left shoulder, so the first 180 is blind.....I'm starting to think the judging criteria sees this as lacking skill.

Maybe, but I think they're judging it as being the "wrong way".....like breaking convention is now a bad thing. Weird, 'cos off-axis and unnatty spins are like that in gymnastics and aerials. I thought the plan was to spiral out from those sports, not fall in line with them.

I'm just disappointing that because he rarely scores well we rarely see his runs get posted anywhere, which is disappointing considering he usual has fairly unique lines/tricks.
