Replying to Stopping the ganja (Discussion)
Yo what up Ns. I have been a bowl a day smoker for the past year and a half and I think it is finally time I stop. I am a busy college student with lots of things I need to get done, and almost all of my inefficiency in regards to work and time management largely stem from my habit.
Its hard to be honest with myself and understand that I am just not as productive. It has become a hinderance on my goals (weight loss/physical fitness, grades, part time job, money/savings, fraternity life). I am not posting this for your sympathy or for you to pat me on the back in all honesty I do not care what you think. I think most previous stoners reach this point and decide to quit. I probably just realized it a bit earlier than most.
I just want to know if similar NS have come to this conclusion. Was it hard to quit? when did you realize it was a hinderance? What did you do to stop? This isn't limited to just weed. It can be alcohol or whatever else you have decided to stop doing to improve your lifestyle. Im not addicted, I dont think you can be addicted in the same way an alchoholic is or a cigarette smoker is. But stopping cold turkey is gonna take some work. It is so much easier to fall asleep, go to a boring lecture, or relax while high.
Note: This is not a post bashing weed, some people can function great on it. I always told myself I could but after not smoking for a few days I realized how much more productive I could be
