Aye kids,
So I have a bad left knee. I've torn my ACL and meniscus once and I think I just re-tore my ACL again this season. The swelling has gone down quite a bit and I'm hoping I will be able to finish off the season before getting another surgery (like I've done in the past).
I'm actively looking for some new skis but I have a question about flex. I tend not to have much of a preference on flex but I'm wondering if a softer ski or a stiffer ski would be better for my knee. I feel like a softer ski would be easier to ski on and more forgiving, but the lack of support (flexing) if I don't land right on top of my feet may strain out my knee, especially off a good sized jump. Seems to me like a stiffer ski would give me more support resulting in less strain on my tendons and what not, however it might be harsher on my knee when skiing all mountain.
What do you guys think? Anyone have experience with this? Also I do like big jumps (big spins) just to take into consideration.
