Moship Flites or Ti?

So my brand new PR, probably 20 days on started to delam yesterday so I'm looking for a new ride. I'm going to get new skis through warranty and get something else. I'm most likely going to try to get some Motherships but I don't know which ones to get. I'm leaning s because they are stiffer but I know the Flites are lighter which would be nice. I'm also considering ARVs or MSPs but I can't get them as cheap.

Also this brings me to another point, is Salomon pretty good about their warranty?

No choice here - get the Ti. I heard a very nasty rumor that the flites have extruded bases, which is complete bush-league shit. Is this true?

Yes, this year's Flite's have extruded bases. They have them for two reasons:

1.) Extruded bases are the fastest base with OUT maintenance, meaning, if you're the type of rider who doesn't wax their skis very often, you will get a reasonable, and consistent glide. If you're the type of skier who likes to wax their skis often (every four days or so) then of course sintered is faster. Sintered is harder, and therefore, more durable, but...

2.) Extruded costs less, which means we can make the world's most affordable fat ski.

It's not Bush League, it's an intentional design feature to achieve a specific objective: taking the Motherhsip Ti, making it as light as possible, and as affordable as possible for all you out there who either want the lightest backcountry set up, or want a fat ski as a second ski for the deep days, but don't want to shell out $600 for a secondary ski.

Thanks for the response.

Still, however you dress it up, extruded bases aren't ever found on performance skis, and are much less durable than sintered bases (which you'd find in any other ski like that). I think anybody who rides those skis hard would probably be in for quite a surprise when they run over anything. And they don't hold wax. How many people who buy the Moship flites are aware of this huge difference in the ski? I couldn't find it on your website.

Sorry to rag, it just seems like a real big issue for anybody looking to buy the ski, one that's not advertised.
