The other olympic slopestyle problem

Aside from the horrible judging and other talked about problems, one thing stood out to me
- the guys didnt have a day off in between qualis and finals.
at first i didnt think much of it and just thought oh well, it's different. But i think it made a pretty big difference in terms of fatigue. I watched the whole comp and took notes of each run for fun to compare the judging to my thoughts and was amazed by the level in the qualis, basically every one were stomping their runs (lets say 90%). it was really impressive. Flash forward to finals, around 2/3rd of the runs werent completed due to a fall or messing a rail. It was really an opposite of the qualis.
After the comp i thought about what it meant : you wake up early (abm posted on insta he was on his way around 6 am0, you then get a couple hours of practice, you then have the whole quali process which lasted around 3h and is draining mentally, you then have a 1hour break where the whole olympic process takes you out of your zone (evan posted he had to take a peepee test in between qualis and finals (he then had problems landing his first rail in finals)), and finally you have to go out out for another 2 hours and put down 3 other runs.
This format seems totally screwed for the sake of the quality of the show, the safety of the athletes, etc.
+ this never happens in any other slopestyle comps so they're not used to it
+ other olympic events like big air and halfpipe DO have the traditional day off in between finals and qualis
TLDR: qualis and finals in the same day sucks and clearly drains the athletes
Do you agress? did you guys also notice the diffrence between quali and finals?

the Olympics are a total money grab. Its just about filling prime time slots not matter the time/weather to sell crappy cotton kits with the rings on them

I really hate them only having 2 runs in qualifiers.

The Olympics slopestyle skiing was so sloppy, it was not well thought out and just another way to make money. Honestly I was hyped but it just did not deliver.

I think their argument is that everyone has to do it. So they acknowledge it sucks but if it sucks fir everyone they're on an equal playing field.
They had a back to back FWT at Kicking Horse this year but the athletes weren't as worked and didn't really show a difference between comps.

100%
Guys were really sloppy in the final which we didn't see in qualifiers, I.e Oscar sliiping on 2nd feature
Judging on another day too would have added to the quality. The judges would have time to talk after qualies and rally nail down how they were gonna judge finals.
People have injuries too. Giving athletes time to rest between qualies and finals is a must I.e Gus was injured going into it, was able to do two runs in qualies but finals as well on the same day was too much

I agree with OP for the most part, but to play the devil's advocate I won't because that'll cause a shitstorm

Definitely considered this when watching ski slopestyle. Several of our team riders we were watching with said they wouldn't want to have to put down there hardest tricks 5 times in a row in 1 day.
With that being said, I have a feeling the scheduling was changed from the traditional prelims one day, finals the next because of the potential bad weather problem experienced during the snowboard slopestyle events. Definitely could be wrong with this assumption but it seems reasonable.
All times are Eastern (-5)
