Marker Kingpin toe Issue

That issue has been addressed by marker. I have heard a few reports of it still happening tho. Usually buy people using them 100+ days a season as a daily use binding. Each time marker has sent a new sent. I wouldn't worry about it, they don't just fall out, it takes time and you should be able to catch it happening in time if you inspect your gear every so often.

I’ve seen that issue a number of times but the warranty replacement on that is solid - check TGR.

Jury is still out as to whether or not my forward pressure spring housing explosive discharge is covered though...

Issue is not even remotely fixed it seems, the've gone from pins falling out to now clean shearing off. In three weeks I've gone through three toe pieces, twice in tour mode, once in ski mode, the pins just shear in half. Had this happen to a couple friends multiple times, and apparently one of the shops in town has $6000 of kingpins sitting in shop that they can't sell right now since they've been giving people the toe pieces from them while they wait on the warranty replacements.

Anyone here send in their toes for recall? Just wondering the turnaround time for a new set? Will I be out for a few days or a month?

Most shops that sell kingpins should have a stock of toe pieces and should swap straight up. Otherwise markers turn around is generally pretty amazing (couple of days-1 week)

Skied Val Thorens 4 days in a row on kingers mounted on JJ zeros open to close with a few park laps and they had no issues. prob had 50 touring days on that setup. Mine didn't have a matching serial number to the recall(s?) but the toe of my friends whose broke didn't seem to keep the toe in place unless he fully locked them out, and they worked fine. The springs on mine are black. I'm sure they've stopped distribution of the defective products.
