SkiBum.Wow, big air jump for Olympics is one of those city set up things. That's junk. What a trash set up. You have the biggest stage in the world and you set up a jump that no one can go next level.

And I'm disappointed in the slope course. It looks awesome. It's in perfect shape. But looks like size and speed issues. Russia slope course was huge, as it should be.

The scaffolding is what is called a drop in, you know something to get speed in an area that doesn't have it. The in run, the take off, the deck, the landing, are all very much on the ground.

It will be groomed and maintained. The only thing different about this than another big air is the drop in. Hell even xgames has had to add some scaffold stackage to the tops of their drop ins for lack of snow.

Everybody bitched about the slope course at sochi, now people are bitching about this one. Same shit different day I guess.

I haven't seen any pics of the big air so it could be a 40'er that you can only dub, Idk, but it's def not an air and style jump.

The drop in is pretty much irrelevant as long as the angle and height are right and you can maintain it. The fact that the inrun, takeoff, and landing are all normal, means it's going to be a normal big air, the setup could be tweaked to exactly what they wanted and maintained. There's quite a bit of snow in that knuckle to build it out and get it that steep.

If the land underneath is a problem, then by your logic any mountain with dirt work is just a "glorified big air city jump".
