B.Quincyso Im at the ski test for next years skis @ Stratton rn. having said that the ski that was my favorite and was super surprised in a good way was the candide 3.0. legit was the best ski I've been on as an east coast pow ski that rips crud but still is soft enough for butters at 108 it holds edge like a much narrower ski and still floats well
Crust_StationReally wanted to do some
demoing today at that but was told I couldn’t and didnt feel like taking the time to figure out how I could, the snow was way too good out there today, good tip on the candide 3 though, Ill have to look into that one, Im all about the butters and if its alright on some firmer stuff too that might not be a bad thing at all.
B.QuincyYeah, so the demo is for shop employees throughout the northeast thats how I got to take a rip. They just felt awesome and are really kinda a jibby and chargy ski in one, I also skied the new bents and was a little underwhelmed on their performance in pow, does said ski have to be a twin or directional or no real preference ?
IsitWinterYet17I rode the candide 3.0's last weekend. They are quite nice. If you're looking at ON3P, they offer discounts for ski professionals so since you're and instructor, that will help.
Crust_StationHey hey, I’m 19, 5’7, ~155lbs and I ski mostly vermont (stratton, magic, snow) but am definitely planning some trips out west and an eventual move out there. Looking for a ski to rip through trees, drop cliffs and do some all mountain jibbing on powdery days (6”-14” is usually the most Im dealing with). Right now Im rocking some 177 Vishnu Wets and love the way they ride but definitely aren’t ideal for fucking up tight trees and trying to snipe the run outs of the cliff drops around stratton, I was thinking about waiting for the 103 vishnus to drop but if any of you guys have some suggestions, hit me with em. Had my eye on maybe Moment or ON3P but Im a ski instructor and that shits expensive, so I dont know, definitely want to avoid Line though because of past bad experiences with durability.
trevorschuHey man, Stratton is my home mtn and I just got Kartel 98s this summer. They really do fucking rip everything. I was actually dropping some of the bigger cliffs there on Monday with about 8"-10" of fresh and they're so nice.

Crust_StationYeah those Kartels look awesome! If you ever see a guy with pool vishnus bopping around holler, im the only one on strat on the v’s I think, lets take some runs
