Shop over drilled my binding screw..what to do?

Just noticed after three days of skiing on my new sticks for the first time that the shop over drilled one of my binding screws. On the bottom side you can feel/see it is bumped out and looks like it’s about to come through. Any suggestions on what to ask or tell them since I’m kinda pissed about it?

It's most likely fixable. Was it a brand new binding?

Brand new skis and brand new bindings. Haven’t had either of them for more than two weeks.

Take it in. If they are reputable they would fix it/give you a free tune or somethin like that.

Bring it back in for sure. Tell them the dimpled the base from using the wrong hardware. Some skis these days are coming out with thinner profiles requiring 7mm bit and 6mm screws as opposed to the standard 9mm/8mm combo. As a tech this is annoying sometimes to try and find the appropriate hardware but is 100% on them, and they should fix the issue and grind down the bump in the base, and if you bought the skis and bindings from the same shop you got them mounted at they should honestly replace them with new ones.

Definitely don't let them grind the binding in the base. All they need to do is replace the current screw with a new proper size screw. They should be able to fix it no problem if they know what they're doing

You should definitely get a base grind to repair the dimple

Should definitely not. After sorting the screw out. Get a heat plate on the base. Will put it back into place. If the dimple comes back it mean unluckily it’s become unglued and you will need to make a little incision to get some epoxy under there and then heat plate again.

Base de grinding is the worst thing to do as you will have no material left at this spot after a few base grinds.
