Captis 178 right size/ski for me?

The 178cm or even 184cm would be a good size for you in the Captis and it's a great all mountain ski. The other option would be the wider Camox in 181cm which is a bit stiffer and would give higher performance all mountain than the Captis. The other very popular option is the Armada ARV96 in 177cm/184cm which is a very similar ski to those Black Crows skis. The Armada and Black Crows are made in the same Atomic Factory (but with their own separate designs) but seem to be share some tech as their flex, weight and feel are very comparable. Armada is a little more reasonable in price too.

All these skis will ski shorter than your hand me downs ones being twin tip and a more forward mount, so stay in 180cm area for length. Could even ski the 184cm lengths of those skis really with an increase in stability in the longer lengths.

Best advice would be to get them a little longer than you normally would. Makes a huge positive difference in performance IMO I wouldnt touch anything shorter than 180 at your size

Line Blend would be the softest flex of the 3 and is more of a playful, wide park ski that can do a decent job all mountain. The Camox and Kartel 98 would both be stiffer (but still playful) that would offer much more stability at speed and better hard snow performance than the Blend. ON3P has legendary build quality and the Kartel 98 is an amazing ski. I would say it would be a touch beefier than the Camox in flex, combined with a longer turning radius, it would be the choice for heavier park use and some higher speed, all mountain freestyle skiing. The Kartel 98 is kinda like a mix of beefy park ski and all mountain charger.
The Camox is a touch more of a directional all mountain twin tip ski that has a playful side. Mix of a an all mountain carving ski with a park ski.

Both the Kartel 98 or Camox would be my first choices for my own ski in that width range and it would be tough choice between the 2 as they are both fantastic skis and could happily live with either. Boom proof park ski that can take all over the mountain and have fun, Kartel 98. Fantastic all mountain freestyle ski that you could even take into the park, the Camox.

Moment PB&Js are definitely worth a look too. They sound similar to the kartels and camox but I can't really make a direct comparison since I've only skiied the PB&J. But I love them for what you're describing.
