Replying to Are Daymakers right for me?

Im just getting in to touring and it doesn’t look like a full on touring set up is in the cards for me anytime soon. My plan is to mostly do sidecountry/slackcountry stuff with maybe one or two short winter camping trips this season (and if it matters Im located in VT and all of this will be done in that area). I also like the flexibility of using different skis on different days that the daymakers allow for. Have any of you guys used them? What do you think? Are they daymakers or day ruiners?
