Weird binding problem

I used to ride on Full tilt classics with Marker Squire bindings, until I realized that the toes of my boots were shifting up and down in the binding. This problem were more appear ant on the left boot (on both skis), which was also the boot with more wear on the soles. Because of the fact that the classics don't have interchangeable soles I decided to purchase some Descendants. However after purchasing them I noticed the problem was still there, except it was just as bad in both boots on both skis. The two pairs of boots are the same size. Unfortunately, since I bought a boot that's bigger than the recommended measurement for my feet (to allow room for growth) the store said they wouldn't be able to be returned. Any possible solutions in mind?

1. Don't buy boots that are too big
2. Get boots that actually fit, not the ones that are considered "cool"
3. Adjust toe height of squires, by tightening the screw until you can only fit a piece of thick paper in the space

Thanks! I'm just concerned that my feet will grow out of the boot before they're finished.

if this doesn't work either take it too a shop and have it torque tested

I'm having the same problem with my left boot, except mine is a Nordica hot rod boot with Salomon bindings, I tightened the screw as tight as I can get it down. Should I buy sole replacements or just buy new boots?

Sole replacements then take them into a shop for a proper release test/adjustment

No idea but try Nordica. They might not even have replaceable soles though in which case you’re looking at new boots

page number 46 & 47 shows you how to adjust the afd on the marker squires. Ideally you would test the gap between the afd and the boot soles with the folded over piece of paper marker put in the binding box but you can test it with a plastic card (credit card size but not a card with raised numbers on it). You should be able to slide the card/sheet out from between the boot and afd smoothly.
If you don't know what you're doing, take them to a decent shop and they'll likely set your afd for you for nothing, beers as payment are encouraged.

There used to be a problem with the pin holding the toepiece together getting worn meaning it would allow the boot to shift, this is more a problem of old worn out bindings though and was unfixable.

My boots have replaceable soles I'm just trying to figure out where I can get em from, Nordica from there website are sold out right now so I'm in a bother
