Use water to ice everything in place real well. Don't ski it the day you build it, let it set up real well. Maintain that shit after you ride by fixing lips and moving snow to the landing so it can also set up. It just sucks when features blow out when you're trying to ride, so the firmer you can make it the better "huehue".

Yes this is so true. I also use a square bucket and really pack the snow in there, then use those as like bricks

If they are building houses or anything near you go see if you can scrap some pvc. If not its easy to buy along with some 2x4x12boards and make some basic features. Ice all your jumps asap so they don't crumple. What I do is just snow blow my yard so the snow stays for weeks after everywhere else is melted. Don't be lazy and not dig the features in at all, it helps immensely especially because it will create more stability and you wont need to make repairs.
